2018 World Music and Dance Festival at CalArts
April 28, 2018
Over the course of one weekend, the 2018 Annual World Music and Dance Festival brings musical traditions from around the world to Southern California. The Herb Alpert School of Music, along with DW Music Foundation and Latin Percussion (LP), presents 15 free outdoor concerts during the festival on the CalArts campus.
New for the 2018 festival is the addition of a second Latin Percussion Stage, doubling the number of performances from years past. The World Music and Dance Festival weekend also features a vendor village with instrument makers, artisans, food trucks and more. And the first 100 people to arrive daily will receive a free, limited edition Chick-ita™ mini maraca from Latin Percussion. The family-friendly event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs for each day are requested.
